Overview

Please follow the instructions below to access the appropriate WIFI network. If you have any trouble, please take a screenshot of the error and complete the Wireless Support Request form located under Services - Network & Wireless - Wireless Support or using the following link: Service - Wireless Support.

Student, Faculty and Staff

Procedure

macOS 13 Ventura and Newer

  1. Close all open apps on your computer.  Select the Wi-Fi[1] icon on the top right-hand corner of your menu bar and select the appropriate network from the list of Other Networks

Students should select: CCBC-STUDENTS

Faculty/staff should select:CCBC-EMPLOYEES

  1. Enter your CCBC username and password. Place a checkmark next to Remember this information[2]. Select OK.

  2. If prompted to verify a certificate, click Continue

  3.  Enter the password you use to login to your computer (NOT your CCBC credentials).

  4. You should now see the filled wireless icon[5], indicating a successful connection to the wireless network.

MacOS 12 Monterey and Older

  1. Close all open apps on your computer.  Select the Wi-Fi[1] icon on the top right-hand corner of your menu bar.

  2. Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on. Under Wi-Fi: Other Networks... select appropriate wireless network name from the list of available networks.

Students should select: CCBC-STUDENTS

Faculty/staff should select: CCBC-EMPLOYEES  

  1. Enter your CCBC username and password. Place a checkmark next to Remember this information[3]. Select OK.

  2. If a Certificate Alert appears, you may be prompted to enter your local Mac Administrator password. If this appears, Select Continue[4]. Then enter the required information and select Update Settings.

  1. Done! Now you should be connected to the CCBC wireless network. A bold Wi-Fi icon should indicate that you are connected. To confirm you are connected, select the Wi-Fi icon again and you should see a blue circle or black checkmark next to the name of the Wi-Fi network you selected.  

ADVANCED SETTINGS: If you would like to make the Wi-Fi network you selected a preferred network, please continue to step 6.  

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the top right-hand corner on your menu bar. Select Network Preferences[6].

  2. Select Wi-Fi on the left-hand side. Select Advanced.
