Overview
Respondus Lockdown Browser is a tool used by many instructors at CCBC to securely administer tests. Once it is downloaded onto the device, you should be able to use it to access any assessments or assignments that require it. This article will guide the user on how to download and install Respondus Lockdown Browser on CCBC owned devices.

Procedure
1) visit Lockdown Browser (this link is unique to each institution).

Note: confirm that it says "Download Lock Down Browser for: Community College of Baltimore County",
2) click the Download button .
3) When trying to open the downloaded file, you will be asked for an admin User name and Password. To get the login information, you will need to request for the username and password information at the request service tab in this administrative access page.
Note: It is advisable to request for the administrative access at least two days prior before the device is needed.
4) After the log in information has been put in, follow the steps given by the lock down browser and answer the questions appropriately.

Getting CCBC Device Number:
When requesting for administrative access you will need to identify the number of the device. There are two ways to identify the number:
1) A sticker on the device would have the number on it.

2)Log in to the CCBC device you plan to use with your CCBC credentials and go to the settings on your device. In settings:


- look for the 5 digit number beside Device name as highlighted in the image below
