New Hardware Request

Overview

All faculty and staff whose job require a computer are eligible for a standard configuration desktop including one (1) PC, monitor, and mouse.  Full-time faculty, administrators, and mobile staff are eligible for a laptop.  This option includes a laptop and one (1) power cord.  Any additional equipment must be purchased by the department.  

When a new employee is hired into an existing position, the hardware used by the previous incumbent will be utilized.  Employees hired into a newly created position will be provided a device. 

Only one device per employee will be funded per CCBC policy approved by the IT Council.

Departments who would like to purchase additional technology must submit a quote request.  Technical Services will provide a quote from an approved vendor.

Procedure

To request a hardware installation and setup for a new employee please select the Hardware Request button to complete the form.  

For a departmental purchase select the Quote Request button to complete the form. When completing the form, please choose which type of hardware you are requesting a quote for purchase. If there are multiple types of equipment, please choose MULTIPLE. Full details, including quantity, should be added in the Hardware Details section. A list of approved equipment that can be requested can be viewed by clicking on the CCBC Equipment link.

Cost

CCBC and IT Council policy state that Technology Fee is used to fund one computer for Faculty and Staff members. Extra equipment, such as second monitor or additional computers, are departmental purchases.
