Printer Support

Overview

Networked printers are supported by a third-party vendor, Marco. This is the same vendor that currently supports CCBC copiers and Print Shop equipment. Printers that are being supported under this contract have been tagged with this yellow Marco sticker.

Like the college-wide copiers, departments will receive their toner from Marco and any issues with these printers will be resolved by Marco. Paper for printers is NOT covered under this agreement. 

Individually used printers (personal printers) that are not networked will not be covered under this toner and support contract. Departments will purchase toner direct from Office Basics at the higher price.

Procedure

If there is an issue with the printer, a department can request service by emailing copierservice@marconet.com or by calling 1-800-847-3098.  Departments will need to provide the ID number listed on the yellow Marco tag that is attached to the printer. 

If the supplies have not been delivered and the above resources did not provide a solution, please select Request Service to complete the form.

Cost

No cost to repair printers covered under the network print contract. 

To receive the best rate for the college, all printing that occurs on networked printers will be combined monthly and subtracted from a pool of pages. The number of pages within the pool has been determined based on the average monthly printing each printer has done in the past. Printers will have the departmental account codes identified and tied to each printer. The department will then pay monthly based on the percentage of printing done on those devices. The cost per page is:

  • Black/white prints: .012
  • Color prints: .098
