Overview

IT Change Management is a structured approach to planning, implementing, and monitoring changes in IT systems, processes, or infrastructure to minimize disruptions and risks. It ensures that changes are efficiently managed and aligned with organizational goals, balancing innovation with operational stability.

CCBC ITS conducts a bi-weekly Change Management Meeting consisting of representatives from across the organization.

Process

  1. Change Request is submitted via the Change Request Form
  2. Request is Evaluated by Change Board
    • Requires 2 members to approve
  3. If Rejected - Notification is sent to the Requestor
  4. If Approved:
    • Change is implemented 
    • Change Outcome is updated
  5. Change Reviewed in Change Management Meeting
  6. Once implemented, the requestor will go into the form, update the Change Outcome, and then mark the Implement Change task as completed

NOTE: DO NOT manually change the status.  The workflow will automatically update the status to closed once all tasks are completed and the Change Outcome has been updated.
