Password Reset and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Settings.

Overview

This article explains how to change your myCCBC password and update your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings.

Procedure

MFA Settings

To change a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) method, follow the first four steps below. Next, select the dropdown menu corresponding to the MFA option you want to update.

  1. Login to myCCBC 

  2. On the left side menu, scroll to the lower portion and click the Password Change menu item.

  3. Sign in with your CCBC account. If the Sign In button appears faded or is unavailable, enter your username and password manually instead of using the saved credentials.

  4. The Account Recovery Settings page will appear and you will automatically be in the Security Questions Page.

Expand the appropriate dropdown below for instructions on updating a specific MFA method.

Security Questions
  1. Select the Security Questions tab at the top of the page.Uploaded image
  2. Select the drop down on the question (Q) and choose what questions you would like then input your answer in the answer(A) text box.

  3. Click submit at the bottom of the page.

Email Recovery

For email, you are only allowed to change your primary email address.

  1. Select the Email Recovery tab and click update.

  2. Type in the email you want to use as your primary and click validate.

  3. Type in the verification code you received in your email and click submit.

  4. You will be returned to the email recovery page with the new email updated.

Phone Recovery
  1. Select Phone Recovery tab and click update.

  2. Select your country and type in your phone number and click Verify.

  3. Enter your verification code that was sent to your phone number and click Submit.

  4. You will be taken to the Phone Recovery Page with your phone number updated.

Authenticator

The following procedure applies to Google Authenticator on a mobile device:

  1. Users with an existing registered authenticator should select De-register Authenticator and then follow steps 2 through 7. New users should also complete steps 2 through 7.

  2. Select Get Started on the myCCBC Authenticator page.

  3. Select Next.

  4. You will be given two choices on how to register your mobile authenticator either a qr code or a text code. Go to Google authenticator on your mobile device and select the plus button at the bottom of your screen and choose an option.

  5. After using the qr code or text code on your mobile app, you will see your CCBC account on the main page with a 6 digit code being generated every 30 seconds.

  6. Select Next on the authenticator page in myCCBC.

  7. Input the current 6 digit code given to you in the mobile app into the myCCBC authentication page before it expires and click Register Authenticator.

  8. Your Authenticator is now set.

 

Password Reset

Expand the dropdown below for instructions on changing your myCCBC password.

Changing myCCBC Password
  1. Go to the myCCBC
  2. Select Forgot Password.

  3. Type in your CCBC username and click submit.

  4. Choose one of the MFA options you have setup for verification.

  5. Type in your new password and click submit. For the password requirements click the icon beside New password.

  6. Your Password has been changed successfully
