Need help retrieving your CCBC username and/or password? Have questions about how to setup your password recovery settings and Multi-Factor Authentication? You’ve come to the right place!
Below you will find information and instructions on how to retrieve your username and password and access resources at the college. Click on a section title to expand and view the information.
IMPORTANT: If you are a returning student and not actively enrolled, then you will only be able to recover your username/password for one day (until Midnight of that day). You will need to go through the "Retrieving your username and password" process each day that you need to access your account until you register. If/once you register, then your account will be re-activated and will remain active while you are enrolled for that semester.
Retrieving your username and changing your password
- Go to CCBC’s Account Recovery page: https://shwa.ccbcmd.edu
- On the Recover your CCBC Login Information page, you will be asked to provide two pieces of information from a list of four options. Whichever options you choose, CCBC must have that information on file in order to identify and retrieve your information.
- Choose two of the four options and enter the information. The options include:
- CCBC Number (This is a 9 digit number starting with either 900 or 901)
- Date of Birth
- Home Email address (you must have provided CCBC with this information previously)
- Last 4 numbers of your SSN
NOTE: If you receive an error message saying "The information submitted does not match what is on file for this account," please try a different combination of two of the four options. If you continue to receive this message, contact the Registrar's Office at ccbcregistrar@ccbcmd.edu to confirm or update your information. You may need to complete the Change of Information form in order to update your information.
- Your CCBC username, CCBC ID number and email address will appear on the screen. Your username will consist of the first two-three letters of your last name and last six-seven numbers of your CCBC ID number.
- To change your password, start by selecting myCCBC in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
- Select a password reset option:
- First time user - If you have NOT taken classes at CCBC previously, select this option.
- Forgot password - If you have taken classes at CCBC previously, select this option.
- Once you have selected an option, follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
