Teams: Creating a Class

Overview

Class Teams are a feature of Microsoft Teams that allow instructors to meet with students in a specifically constructed environment. 

Note: Faculty DO NOT have to create a Class Team in order to meet with students.  Faculty who are wanting to only create a meeting space for their course can do so by creating a Teams meeting using Outlook.  The Teams meeting information that is created in that Outlook calendar item can be copy/pasted into Brightspace for the students to access.

Procedure

The following instructions are for faculty who are wanting to utilize additional features within Teams and have some comfort level with using Teams. 

Faculty can create a class Team in Microsoft Teams using Office 365 groups.  Detailed instructions can be found on SharePoint using the following link:
