Syncing OneDrive Files to Your Device

Overview

Faculty and Staff are encouraged to utilize the OneDrive Sync App available on all CCBC administrative devices.  The OneDrive Sync App will allow users to access their OneDrive files similar to how they access their local device files.  This article provides information on how to sync OneDrive files, where to access them on the device, and how to manage the sync settings.

After setting up OneDrive on your device, you can choose which folders or documents stay stored locally.

  • To make sure a folder or file is always available offline, right‑click it and select Always keep on this device.This downloads the content and keeps it updated on your device.
  • To remove the local copy and store it only in the cloud, right‑click the folder or file and select Free up space.This keeps it in OneDrive but stops it from taking up storage on your device.
