Click the drop-downs below to view the steps for moving files between Daily Post SharePoint and Teams Storage Online.

1) Attaching the Teams Drive to your OneDrive

The first step is to add a shortcut from the Teams storage you want to use to your personal OneDrive.  In Teams, navigate to the Team and Channel where you want your data to reside.  On the Files tab, select Add shortcut to OneDrive.  In order to see this option, you must have the ability to write files to the Team you have selected and you may have to use the ellipse menu as shown below.

It may take time for the system to synchronize, but eventually you will be able to go to Windows File Explorer on your computer and see a folder listed with an arrow indicating the folder is located somewhere other than your OneDrive.

2) Mapping a Drive to Daily Post SharePoint

The next step is to map a drive from your computer to Daily Post SharePoint.  First open a web browser and navigate to the site with the files you are backing up or deleting.   Copy the URL up to the last forward slash (/)

Next open Windows File Explorer and select This PC.  The ribbon at the top of the screen should contain a selection to Map network drive.  Please note you may have to use the ellipse menu on the right of the ribbon if Map network drive is not displayed.

The following dialog box will be displayed.  Paste the URL you copied earlier in to the Folder field. If you would like to change the drive letter that is presented, you can modify it using the Drive drop down box.

Moving and Removing Files:

At this point you can access the files in Daily Post SharePoint by going to the new drive letter. If you no longer need files simply delete them. If you would like to maintain the files in Teams, copy them by right clicking the file and selecting copy or move or dragging and dropping them into the OneDrive folder that corresponds with the Teams Channel you created earlier. Please note that if you copied the file from SharePoint you will most likely want to go back and delete the file once you confirm the copy was successful.
