OneCard Terminal Installation instructions

1. Installation on a new computer requires the device to be assigned as a terminal in the OneCard Application.  Enterprise Computing is responsible for completing this task.  You must provide them with the devices MAC address.

2. Create new Environment variables.

   1. Get local machine MAC address

   2. Open Environment Variables

      

   3. Add following information as both a user and system variable.

      1. Variable = LANADDRESS

      2. Value = local MAC address no dashes

         

3. Map a network drive to OneCard server share: \\cw1card\1Card.  This drive mapping must be configured to reconnect at login.

4. Obtain the correct version of the OneCard installation media.  There will be a copy located on the CW1Card server share, Enterprise Computing can confirm the correct version.

5. Run Setup.exe.

6. Select OneCard ID.

   

7. Accept default install location.

8. Select checkbox to create a desktop shortcut.

9. After installation, run the OneCard ID application.

10. On first run you will receive a database error pop-up and must enter the paths to the appropriate folders.  Use the drive letter mapped in step 3 and complete the following.

    

11. Log into the OneCard application

12. Select View-Options

    1. It is advised to match an existing OneCard terminal settings.  The department may need to adjust card layout settings.

    2. Printer/Encoder/Reader tab (configure after printer installation)

       1. Printer settings may vary depending on printing device.

       2. The correct printer must be selected.  For a Fargo HDP6600 printer the selection is Fargo Printer (Legacy)

1. Download latest printer driver from HID Global website.

2. Run setup and take all defaults.

   1. All packages selected.

      

   2. Local Connection.

      

3. After installation a new Other Device will show in Device Manager.  Device name will be similar to 5127 CK.  Search online/HID website for the HID Omnikey USB CDC EEM Driver and get the latest version.  Run the installation and take defaults.  Device Manager will now show the device under network adapters.  

   

4. Once the printer is installed open Setting-Bluetooth & Devices-Printers & Scanners and select the HDP6600 Card printer.

5. Select Printing Preferences.

6. On the Base Setup page configure the settings as below and save changes.
