Purchasing Microsoft 365 for Personal Devices

Overview

All employees with an active CCBC account have access to the web versions of Microsoft 365. Full-time faculty and staff can also download the Microsoft 365 desktop applications on a personal device using their CCBC account.

Part-time employees and adjunct faculty generally have access to the web versions of Microsoft 365 only. Those who would like the desktop applications for use on a personal device may review the purchasing options below.

Procedure

Employees have several options for purchasing Microsoft 365 at a discounted price. These include:

Microsoft Workplace Discount Program 

Eligible employees can receive 30% off a Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Family annual subscription after verifying their eligibility. The subscription is purchased through Microsoft and associated with the employee’s personal Microsoft account. Employees can take the following steps:

  1. Sign Up: Visit the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program page. Enter your corporate email address and select the Get Started button.
  2. Confirm: If you are eligible, you will receive a verification email at your CCBC email address. Open the message and follow the verification link.
  3. Sign In: Sign in with or create the personal Microsoft account that will be associated with the subscription.
  4. Shop: Review the available discounted subscriptions and complete the purchase through the Microsoft Store. After the purchase is complete, Microsoft 365 can be installed on eligible personal devices.
