Purchasing Microsoft 365 for Personal Devices

Overview

Employees can purchase a copy of Microsoft Office 365 with download rights for personal devices at a discounted price.  This is beneficial for part-time employees and adjuncts who wish to have the desktop version of Microsoft Office 365 on their home devices.

NOTE:

1. Full-time Employees have the ability to download Microsoft Office 365 using their CCBC email on personal devices.  However, those employees may wish to purchase a copy of Microsoft Office 365 using a private/personal email account.  
2. All CCBC owned devices already come with Microsoft Office desktop applications.  This is specific to employees wishing to purchase a copy of Microsoft Office 365 for personal devices not associated with their CCBC accounts.

Procedure

Employees have a couple options for purchasing Microsoft Office 365 at a discounted price.  Those include:

Microsoft Workplace Discount Program (Best discounted price)

This program allows employees to purchase a yearly subscription at a 30% discount after verifying their eligibility.  Employees can take the following steps:

1. Sign Up: Visit the Microsoft Workplace Discount Program page. Enter your corporate email address. Click on ‘Get Started’ button.
2. Confirm: If you are eligible, an email will be sent to your CCBC email address inbox with a link that will validate your eligibility for the program.
3. Sign In: Once your eligibility is confirmed (you clicked on the link in your email) and you register for the program with your personal Microsoft account that is associated with your personal email address (you do this on the login page you get to after you click on the link in your email) you can begin the purchase process by viewing the discounts available to you based on your Workplace Discount Program benefit eligibility.
4. Shop: Your purchase is processed and completed in the Microsoft Store. You, the eligible employee, can install Microsoft 365 on your personal devices after the purchase is complete.

CCBC Bookstore

The college bookstore sells Microsoft Office 365 at a discounted price.  More information can be found on there website at https://ccbaltimorecounty.bncollege.com/
