This article provides the settings for using a desktop or mobile-based email client

Procedure

Note: Faculty, Staff, Retirees and Emeriti have email addresses ending in @ccbcmd.edu.
Student and Alumni have email addresses ending in @email.ccbcmd.edu.

Faculty/Staff

 

Students

Webmail Address: https://portal.office.com or https://outlook.office.com

Email Address Format: username@email.ccbcmd.edu

Note: Different devices may have different setups. These are general settings for gaining access to your mail in Office 365 from a mobile device.

Native Mail Client Option:

Open the device's mail client and then add an Exchange account. Enter the following settings:

  • Desktop / Mobile Account Type: Exchange
  • Desktop / Mobile Account Type: Exchange
    • User Name: <username> @email.ccbcmd.edu
    • password: <user's CCBC password>
  • Server Information
    • Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Additional Settings
    • SSL Required (mobile): On
    • Domain: <leave blank>
    • Description: <Can be anything typically Exchange>
       

Outlook Client Option

1. Download the Microsoft Outlook app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

2. Open the app and touch the “ADD AN ACCOUNT” button to continue.

3. Choose the button labelled “Office 365”

4. The “Office 365” screen will prompt you to login. Enter @email.ccbcmd.edu in the box labelled “someone@example.com”. Then touch the box labelled “Password”

5. When you touch the box labeled “Password” the screen will automatically redirect you to Microsoft’s Office 365 portal.

6. Once the redirection is finished, input your email again in the username box (@email.ccbcmd.edu). In the box next to the label “Password:” enter your password. Touch the “Sign-In” button.

7. You have now successfully logged into your O365 e-mail

To Add Your CCBC Account (iOS 14 and newer)

Step by step (text only):

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Mail
  3. Select Add Account
  4. Select Microsoft Exchange
    1. Enter your Email
    2. Select “Sign In” (Do Not select Configure Manually)
  5. If prompted, select “Work or School Account”
  6. Sign-in to the Campus Single Sign-On (SSO) screen with your campus email address and password
  7. Follow remaining steps on screen to synch your services such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar, etc.

Step by step (with images):

  1. Go to settings
  2. Go to Mail
  3. Select Accounts
  4. Select Add AccountUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Select Microsoft Exchange Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Enter your full campus email addressUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    7. Select "Sign In" (Do Not select Configure Manually) and select "Continue" Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    8. Sign-in to the Campus Single Sign-On (SSO) screen with your campus username and password Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
