LTI Tool Request

Introduction

Use this form to provide the requested information to expedite the request and LTI tool installation

Consider the following before submitting an installation request:

  • Does the tool (or similar tool) already exist on our system?
  • What is the reliability and reputation of the product/vendor?
  • How is technical support for the product handled?
  • What ease of use factors applies to students and faculty?
  • Are there additional costs to CCBC or to students?
  •  

Information to provide the Brightspace Administrators prior to staging environment installation:

  • Complete documentation of LTI and installation process from vendor
  • Vendor and technical support contact information
  • Brief description of the tool including college-wide benefits and expected outcomes
  • Test plan, include all CRNs and faculty Brightspace IDs
  • Completed LTI Request Form

Procedure

Requesting LTI tool process:

  • Request for LTI tool installation should be made a semester prior to when the tool is anticipated to be incorporated into the course on the production environment.
  • Complete the LTI Tool Request.
  • Provide test plan when requested by the Brightspace Administrators.  This allows the Brightspace Administrators time to configure the Test environments properly.

Technical Support:

  • Direct all technical issues with LTI tools to the vendor’s technical support team.  Some LTI tools require unique faculty or student login credentials not available to the Brightspace Administrators.
  • For technical issues are related to the LTI tools, submit a ticket with CCBC’s Help Desk.

 

NOTE: Be advised that no administrative access to our Brightspace system will be granted to any Publisher or Third-Party Vendor.  The Brightspace Administrators will work their development teams as needed.
