Question: Are there any costs associated with dual enrollment courses?

Answer: BCPS students who are College and Career Ready (CCR) certified are eligible for two free courses per semester during their junior and senior years, including fees and books. Other students are eligible for a 50% tuition discount, but are responsible for fees and books.

Question: Are there any tuition waivers for dual enrollment courses?

Answer: Maryland high school students are eligible for a 50% tuition discount. BCPS students certified as College and Career Ready (CCR) can take two free courses per semester. Additional courses receive a 50% discount.

Question: Is financial aid available for dual enrollment students?

Answer: High school students are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.

Question: Do I have to pay for textbooks and materials?

Answer: BCPS College and Career Ready (CCR) students are eligible for free textbooks for up to two courses. Other students are responsible for the costs of textbooks.

Question: Are there scholarships specifically for dual-enrolled students?

Answer: Yes! Several scholarships are available, including the CCBC Opportunity Grant and the Senator Francis Kelly Endowment. Applications require submitting an ECAP form and high school transcript. Apply though our Scholarships and Grants Portal.

Question: How can I pay my dual enrollment bill (online, in person, etc.)?

Answer: Payment can be made in person or online through myCCBC via SIMON.

Question: Do I qualify for the tuition waiver?

Question: How will I be billed for my dual enrollment courses?

Answer: You will be initially billed the full amount, but the discount will be applied once your ECAP form is submitted.

Question: Are there any payment plans available?

Answer: Yes! You can enroll in a payment plan to avoid being dropped from your course. Visit MyCollegePaymentPlan to set up a payment plan.

Question: Why hasn't my tuition waiver been placed on my account?

Answer: If your ECAP form was submitted, the discount may take a few weeks to be applied manually by our student finance team.

Question: What happens if I drop a dual enrollment course after the refund deadline?

Answer: If you're a BCPS College and Career Ready (CCR) student enrolled in two courses and drop one, there will be no cost. For others, you will be responsible for the payment.

Question: How can I verify that my tuition has been paid?

Answer: You can check your balance by logging into myCCBC.

Question: Will I have to pay if I drop my course?

Answer: It depends on your status and the timing of your drop. BCPS CCR students who drop only two courses are not financially responsible.
