Overview

Web browser pluginsadd-ons, and extensions are generally very similar in function: they are software components that add additional features to an existing piece of software. This can be as simple as adding additional minor functionality, or as major as changing the core functions of the web browser. Occasionally, a plugin, add-on, or extension will cause the web browser or a particular website to not work properly; the website or some of its features may only partially load or may not load at all. This can often be solved by disabling the component in question and then reloading the webpage or restarting the program.
