Sexual Misconduct Prevention (SMP) Training

Overview

The Sexual Misconduct Prevention (SMP) Training is one of the mandatory trainings for all CCBC employees to ensure that they are familiar with the nature of sexual misconduct and harassment throughout the CCBC college environment, as well as their responsibility to prevent and report it. The steps listed below will guide you to the online training, as well as show you where you can see your current certification and its expiration date.

Procedure

To reach the SMP online training, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the CCBC homepage.
  2. At the bottom of the page under the Information For section, select Faculty and Staff.
  3. Select Online Resources, then under Communication Support select The Daily Post (CCBC Sharepoint).
  4. On the left-hand navigation, select Professional Development Opportunities.
  5. On the left-hand navigation, select Online SMP Training.
  6. This page will provide you with the training video and test, as well as contact information if you have questions.
     

To view your current SMP certification date and expiration date, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the CCBC homepage.
  2. At the bottom of the page under the Information For section, select Faculty and Staff.
  3. Select Online Resources, then under Instructional Tools select Online Information System - SIMON.
  4. Login with your CCBC username and password, then go through the authentication steps.
  5. In the upper left-hand corner, select the three bar menu icon () to expand the menu.
  6. Select Banner, then Employee, then CCBC Employee Credentials.
  7. This page will list your current certifications, as well as their expiration dates.
