Career Pathways

Jumpstart college to advance your career

The Career Pathways program gives in-state, high school students the power to earn free college credits when they successfully complete approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pathway programs. Thanks to this cutting-edge collaboration between CCBC and Maryland county schools, credits are applied to your college transcript after you graduate from high school and enroll in CCBC classes. Meaning, there's no need to repeat the same courses in college!

Eligibility

High School students that have completed all required credits in their Career Completer program with a technical grade point average of a B or better and a C grade or higher in each course are eligible to receive free articulated college credits upon enrollment to CCBC.

A roadmap that begins in high school

Next Steps

  1. Apply to CCBC
  2. Obtain official transcript from high school with CTE coursework.
  3. Submit official transcript to CCBC by email or mail.
  4. Contact CCBC faculty to schedule portfolio review if required (not all CTE completers will need a portfolio review). See individual agreement for CCBC faculty contact information.

Note: Students must be enrolled at CCBC before credits are issued.
