Dropping a course during the ‘add/drop’ period allows you to add and drop courses with a 100% refund. When the ‘add/drop’ period ends, you will need to “Withdraw” from your course.
Refer to link: Withdrawal and Tuition Refund Policies - Community College of Baltimore County - Modern Campus Catalog™
A drop is a course that has been dropped within the 100% refund period and will not appear on your academic record.
A withdrawal is a course that has been dropped after the 100% refund period and will appear on your academic record as a "W." This does not impact your GPA. Refer to Academic Calendars (ccbcmd.edu) to confirm dates for each semester.
Remember: Dropping or withdrawing from a course may impact your financial aid, scholarships, academic standing or visa status. You are strongly urged to consult with Financial Aid and your academic advisor prior to making changes.
